Marco Island

Marco Island houses live in salt air, and a lot of them are empty for months at a time. Plumbing here is as much about what happens while you are gone as what you see when you are home.

Exterior hose bibs, lanai showers, and exposed fittings corrode faster on the island than they do inland. We replace fixtures and the valves behind them, and we look for slow leaks at supply lines before they stain a cabinet or a ceiling in an empty house.

Before you leave for the season, or before you open the house, ask for a check of the water heater connections, toilets, and under-sink lines. If the kitchen water is what you want to change, Aqua Nest is the under-sink drinking system we install. Whole-home equipment is a separate conversation and starts with a water test.

Storm season is the other calendar on the island. Call 239-376-0640 and we will schedule the visit.

Marco Island water and plumbing FAQ

Where does Marco Island's water come from?

Marco Island Utilities has two plants. The North plant lime-softens fresh water from the Marco Lakes source water facility, which is fed by Henderson Creek and backed by aquifer storage and recovery wells. The South plant treats brackish groundwater by reverse osmosis. Source: Florida Water Resources Journal: Marco Island Utilities
