Water softeners

If you are comparing water softener companies, start with a test. A softener is the right tool for hardness. It is the wrong tool for problems it was never meant to solve.
We install, repair, and replace water softeners for houses on city water and houses on wells across Lee, Collier, and Charlotte counties. We will not sell you a system you do not need. Every softener conversation starts with testing, so the recommendation matches the water in that house.
What hardness looks like at home
- Soap that does not lather the way it should
- Spots on glass, fixtures, and shower doors
- Laundry that feels stiff after it is washed
- Scale crust at faucet aerators and on the water heater
- A softener you already own that no longer keeps up
The test comes first
On site we check hardness, measure pH, and look for iron and other minerals, then review the results with you. Well water that is very hard is a different job from a municipal supply that is moderately hard. Iron changes the picture too — a softener alone is often the wrong answer when iron staining is the main complaint. That is why the iron-filter and softener combination exists as its own option.
If anyone in the house is on a sodium-restricted diet, say so before we recommend a softener. The system has to fit how you use water, not only the hardness number.
Repair or replacement
A tired softener can sometimes be repaired. When it is outdated, a replacement is the honest recommendation. We will say which one fits after the test and a look at the equipment already in the house.
Questions
Will a softener fix rotten-egg smell or orange stains?
Usually not by itself. Sulfur odor and iron staining call for filtration selected after a water test. A softener addresses hardness.
Do you service softeners you did not install?
Yes. We can look at the equipment you have, test the water, and tell you whether it needs salt, a repair, or a replacement.
